I am delighted to announce my first solo US exhibition at Holden Luntz Gallery in Palm Beach, Florida which to my mind is one of the most prestigious galleries in America. They have called the exhibition Amazement and Amusement, I think this is really because when I  met at Holden and his lovely wife Jodie at the Paris Photo show they were amazed and amused by me.

I think they thought that as my pictures are influenced by the Renaissance and have a very classical look and feel that I would be a very aesthetic gentleman, a ‘softly ring the bells of my soul’ kinda guy. Instead they met a very animated frustrated actor and story teller, who is greatly afflicted with tangental thinking. A character who  exudes  enthusiasm and relates with passion all the faults and triumphs that lead to the final image (hopefully). So Mr and Mrs Luntz unlike Queen Victoria’s famous statement of ‘not being amused’ were, I felt ‘greatly amused’.

I really admire Holden and Jodie’s taste and the way they have curated the images for this exhibition and other exhibitions by Albert Watson and Horst, I am so touched to be included in such talented company.

These images are specifically selected for this show from amongst my extensive archive. I am so delighted to be showing my work in America. You can download the full  press release for Amazement & Amusement here.
